Recently, people have argued on the issue whether celebrties’ supprot for international aid organizations draws the attention to problems or not. In my view, the answer is yes.

First, with social influence, they are frequent visitors for the press. Everything they do is closely followed and reported widely, no matter trifles or sensational events. So, if celebrities contribute to international aid organizations in various forms, the public can know it in coverage. And inevitably, they will know more background information of the situation whcih they are not familair with or never expect. For example, those children living in developed countries might never imagine numerous people are suffering from famine nowadays. And warm-hearted people may take actions to help those in need out of sympathy. Moreover, imtating idol’s beheaviour is commonplace among fans or supporters. The groups are more liable to put this kind of thoughts into practice, which we can see in Covid-19 pandemic period. Last, celebrities such as directors and singers,they often reveal or indicate problems occuring in the world in their works, it’s natural for audience to consider problems while they enjoy films and music.

On the other hand, some people hold a misunderstanding that celebrities are rich, the amount of money they doante is enough to tackle problems. And some consertative people or haters of celebrities detest everything they do instinctively, doubting the credibility of problems. In fact, there are some celebrities really give support to international aid orginazations out of selfish consideration, some of them assume to be kind and generous to win people’s affection or just for exposure.

In conclusion, I insist that famous people’s support for international aid organizations can draw the attention to problems, though some pretensions exist .
