Government should spend money on railways rather than roads. What extent do you agree or disagree?

The construction of railways has played a key role in modern society since it is benefit for public. In my view, the government ought to put funds both on railways and roads.

Building up roads can help the rural area develop their economics. Roads are able to enhance the connection between rural region and cities. Some farmers can transport their productions to urban area by highways and earn profits by selling consumer goods. Especially, some villages with attracting scenery can promote tourist industry because the tourists can easily visit the villages by mountain roads. In addition, some young people who has knowledge, ambitious and energies are likely to come to there to discover business opportunities.

Meanwhile, road perfections are also the symbol of the city function. Not only it beautifies the surroundings, also it enables to improve the efficiency of dwellers’ life and work. For example, broaden driveways and building urban overpasses can make good use of spaces and reduce the congestion in city. That means citizens will save a lot of time on the way and they don’t have to worry about being late for work caused by the traffic jam. And the green belts on both sides of the road will mitigate the air pollution produced by cars.

Railroading is an indispensable part for masses which can bring about the prosperity along the railways. It is a kind of transportation which achieves trade between nations and regions. Large quantities of goods can be exchanged and talents can be shared. Furthermore, the different culture will also complete integration and communication.

Overall, it would be sensible for government to develop railways and roads together.
