Governments and corporations should share all scientific discoveries all over the world.

In recent years, much more attention than ever before has been paid to applying scientific discoveries, due to the fact that the purpose of scientific research is to serve mankind. Most of people hold that sharing all scientific discoveries should be encouraged. However, from my perspective, I believe not all scientific outcomes should be shared, and it depends on circumstances.

First, sharing some of scientific inventions, like medical and environmental discoveries, provides more valuable opportunities with improving people’s living quality all over the world, especially for those in developing countries. Clearly, in some undeveloped countries, amounts of people suffer from starvation and preventable diseases, like hepatitis and cancer. With access to vaccines and drugs offered by developed countries, health in poor countries will continue to enhance; With better seeds and farm machinery supported by developed countries, farmers in poor countries will grow more food; With clear ways that researched by developed countries to produce cheap electricity, we will reduce emissions and avert the worst effects of climate change. Thus, only when the government shares these terrific outcomes, can people all over the world benefit from them.

Second, some scientific discoveries, like military weapons, should not be allowed to share with other countries, especially rogue countries. To be specific, the military force ensures people to have a stable and harmonious international environment. On the other hand, if some ambitious countries master the way to make weapons, it will threaten the safety of people all over the world. For example, although know how to make a nuclear bomb, many countries still keep the secret to themselves not only because they all sign treaty to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapon but also they fear that some evil organization which gets their hands on nuclear weapon may use it to attack them. So, it is not hard to understand why Americans will not share nuclear technology to countries like North Korea or organizations like AI Qaeda.

In conclusion, due to different scientific discoveries for different aim, it is unjustified to say that all these results should be shared
