People have different views about whether governments fund for languages of few speakers is a worthy thing or government is doing a meaningless thing.I totally support governments should protect scarce languages from a dangerous situations.

Governments put money on languages of few people would save them.Firstly,once languages of few speakers get governments help,more and more people will notice them and find these languages are more fantastic than they thought and may begin to learn them.Languages are always integrate with the culture.The developments about language of few speakers  can put the precious culture in motion .Besides,languages of few speakers can let people rediscover the beauty of world.Because languages involve lots of memories .For example,the part of past beautiful scenery of mountains and lakes or traditional ways of living are depicted by rare languages.
