It is true that a range of people consider international tourism as an industry with negative influences. There are a variety of reasons for this, and steps to tackle the problem.

There are several reasons why the international tourism generates harmful effects. First of all, it produces environmental degradation. Merchants have to exploit natural resources to fulfill tourists’ s needs.

Besides, the international tourism may aggravate the traffic congestion because it will generate immense tourist flow. The international tourism will bring an enormous amount of people to the city or country, producing more inconvenience for local citizens.

Moreover, the international tourism may bring cultural extinction to historical relics. Administrators tend to commercialize the tourist spots to attract tourists. For instance, they may compel local citizens to alter their traditional rituals to enchant visitors.

There are several solutions which can address the problem. I believe the change must start with implementing environmental protection. The social media can raise people’s awareness by advertising the conception ecotourism, while administrators should strengthen the environmental management. Besides that, augmenting admission is an acceptable strategy. The number of tourists will descend as the admission rises. As a consequence, the traffic congestion can receive an alleviation to some extent. At the same time, the government should introduce policies to supervise the commercialization of tourist spots as a precaution against the cultural extinction.

To sum up, a variety of people will continue to disapprove the international tourism unless the social media, administrators and the government undertake effective methods to solve the problem.
