Whether to move to another place to live has sparked a heated discussion. Living in one town or city all the life, in some people’s views, is of great benefit in that they can develop a strong sense of community, which can be their greatest asset. Contrary to these people’s opinions is my perspective that living in different places is of more benefits, due to its contributes to personal development and life experience.
To begin with, living in different places can develop people’s interpersonal skills. In detail, if people live in different places, they can meet a lot of different people, and adapting to the new community requires people to learn new cultures and rules, which contributes a lot to develop their social skills. Moreover, the quality of independence can be got when people living in a new place. To explain it further, people will not meet a lot of unknown problems if they stay in one town or city all their life. On the contrary, people who often moving need to face various situations, and most of the time, they can only depend on themselves. This, consequently, gives them more chances to develop their independent minds. Take the exchange students as examples. As we know, there are many exchange programs in universities. Students who choose to exchange to another country will meet a lot of foreigners, and they usually totally unfamiliar with everything there. Via taking the exchange programs, not only did the students make friends with foreign students, but also the independent quality could be guaranteed.
What should be equally worth discussing is that living in different places can give people more life experiencing. Specifically, it is moving and changing that gives people the chance to try different jobs, foods, and environments. People would never know what they really like and what they are really good at if they never experience a different life.
