There’s no denying that internet is everywhere in our life. Compared to public transportation, however, the internet access seems less worthy if the government choose one to spent money on.

The most obvious reason is that whether the business of internet needs money from the government to invest them additionally remains questionable. As we all know that internet is a direction that can create huge value by itself and it is still a fast-growing industry, so maybe the improving of internet access can be funded through other ways. The public transportation is not a program that gives high pay back but it is also needed by everyone in everyday life. If you take this into account, then it’s apparently that the public transportation needs this money from the government. From another aspect, the structure of population nowadays is more and more elderly, there’s definitely a small part of people, especially the elderly, who doesn’t need the access to the internet but public transportation is for everyone literally. Nobody can live a comfort life without a convenient public transportation. According to this idea, why wouldn’t the government put money on things that every person needs?

Last but not least, to some extent, no matter how fast the internet grown or how the world changed, people’s lives is always depend on things in real life and it is the connection between one person and another that forms the whole society. Only when the basic living demand is satisfied will people start to chase something in the virtual internet world. As a government that works for serving people and providing the society with better environment, things in the real society that is needed for everyone is no doubt the first thing they should deal well with, so the government should spend money on public transportation.
