    It is more important for students to understand ideas and concepts than it is for them to learn facts. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

    First of all, learning facts is an easy job as the technologies are developing.There are a lot of opportunities for us to do that. We can surf on the Internet  to get as much information as we want by flicking through the websites.We can also visit the libraries to get books and corpus that we are interested in. For example, my friend Oliver, who hasn’t learned history before, participated in the history contest in his university. He got a plenty of sources of the details of the history from the Internet and the libraries and reviewed them for a week. It turned out that he got the  first prize. Since the facts are really easy to get nowadays, we don’t need to take so much time on studying facts. It is valuable to focus on more important things than the facts, that is, understanding ideas and concepts.

    Second, by learning ideas and concepts, we are able to make innovations and to be inspired. Take studying physics as an example. We can get three laws of Newton from any books of the basic physics. By understanding these concepts, we may learn how Newton raised these ideas and how did he prove it. Also, we are able to know some weak points of Newton’s experiments. Then, we may have our own ideas to design new experients which are better. During this procedure, we get inspirations from the scientists, and we have new ideas. That is what deep learning bring to us. It is much better than only knowing the formulas or the laws.

    This is the article I have revised:

    First of all, learning facts is an easy job as the technologies are developing. There are a lot of opportunities for us to do that. We can surf the Internet to get as much information as we want by flicking through the websites. Various kinds of books can also provide a large amount of facts for us. In simple terms, people can learn facts efficiently through affluent sources even though they haven’t heard about these facts before. Since we can lightly get facts through numerous aspects nowadays, we don’t need to spend so much time learning facts. It is valuable to focus on more important things than the facts, that is, understanding ideas and concepts.

    Second, by learning ideas and concepts, we are more likely to get inspirations and make innovations. Take studying physics as an example. We can learn about three laws of Newton from any books of the fundamental physics. By understanding these concepts, we may learn how Newton raised these ideas and how did he prove them. Also, we may discover some weak points of Newton’s experiments. Then, we will probably have ideas to design new experients which are better. During this procedure, we get inspirations from the scientists, and we originate new ideas. That is what deep learning brings to us. It is much better than only knowing the formulas or the laws.

    Issues:

    1. Serious coherence problems. Make sure the Subject of a sentence echos the Subject, or the object, of the prior sentence;
    2. Avoid using There BE sentences since the subject, There, does not echo anything in the prior sentence;
    3. Use transitory words between sentences when needed;
    4. Use formal words to replace informal words (i.e. get);
    5. Make sure each sentence is clearly written. Draw a picture of the sentence you write and see if you are able to draw a clear picture based on the sentence. If not, rewrite the sentence.

    First of all, only when students learn ideas and concepts can they be able to understand the facts. Facts may only tell you that they actually happened, while ideas and concepts can provide the reasons behind the facts. For example, a math textbook contains thousands of formulas, which are impossible for students to remember. However, with profound comprehension of the concepts, most students are able to utilize them and deduct these formulas by themselves. As a consequence, students can save plenty of time remembering the details of the formulas.

    Second, as the societies are improving to a higher level, those who have unique ideas are more likely to stand out from the crowd. Since the technologies are enhancing, the database of the Internet can hold large number of information for us and we don’t need to remember so many facts. Actually, our society needs people who have new ideas and creativities, cause they have the potential to affect human’s life. For instance, Steve Jobs, who proposed the concept of the smartphone, had won a great success in commerce and improved people’s life qualities through various aspects. So learning ideas and concepts are of greater significance for students. The abilities to originate new ideas may bring them a brighter future.
