School should require young children (aged 5-11) to work together in a small group instead of working alone to learn many activities.

There is no doubt that cooperation plays a vital role in our society，but (personal heroism)[this phrase has the opposite meaning in the western culture vs the Chinese culture  ] is also praised. From my point of view[ redundant ] , I agree with the statement that young children should be required to work together in a small group instead of working alone to learn many activities[ repetition from the topic ] .

Some may disagree with the statement by arguing that children need( to be independent and master )[structural issue  ] the skill of solving problems alone. In many circumstances, no one could help the child who faces difficulties, such as taking exams[ unclear sentence ] . Thus, it is essential that the young should learn to deal with problems on their own.

However, the statement above is certainly flawed because help from others can provide children with guidance on preparing for problem-solving. Although some problems need to be addressed alone, young children can search for help when preparing for those tasks, such as taking exams. If they practice for the coming exam under the guidance of others, they will do better in the real exam.

Besides, cooperating with others is significant to most of us because most people will participate in many projects in their careers. When working in a company, if workers can cooperate and often communicate with others, they will breed some insights into issues that are hard to address. As a result, they can improve efficiency and reach success. For children, cooperation also works well in their group work. For example, one of my friends, Adam, learned to work in a small group in primary school. When encountering some problems, Adam and his friends preferred to exchange their opinions and found the best way after experimenting with every solution. By considering every thought and making the final decisions, Adam mastered the ability to cooperate with others. As a result, Adam got the CEO job when he grew up because he was good at working in groups and collaborating with others.

To sum up, young children should be required to work together in a small group. Although working alone has many benefits, working together with others is more significant to children.
