Should the government focus more on preserving the natural environment and less on economic development?

In recent years, natural disasters gain more and more attention from people, it now seems to be a frequent natural phenomenon. The reason that led to this situation caused a red-blooded debate. Some people interpret it as common weather changes, they think it is natural and people ought to get used to it. But there are quite a plenty of people trounce the government that attaches greater importance to economic development overlooking habitat destruction. In my opinion, the environmental problem whether it is natural or man-made, the conclusion can’t be drawn from one side.

To start with, natural disasters exist all the time. In agricultural society, farmers also have to meet drought or flood, which leads to a good deal of death as a result of lacking advanced technology. Someone may claim that today’s biochemical technology caused fast-spread viruses, but the old infections diseases history was a conclusive riposte to anyone who holds this thought. But did the development of the economy and technology have an influence on the natural environment? The answer is certainly positive.

Second, it is important to find a balance between development and protecting the environment. As we can see, Heran province, which is home to some 94 million people has issued its highest level of weather warning following an unusually active rainy season, after that heavy flooding hits central China, affecting tens of millions. If we don’t have a security system or rescue equipment, it is hard to imagine the city once the waters subside. However, if human society lets economic development play the leading role, they build factories, exhaust emissions, and completely ignore the feeling of the environment. Picture a world in which cities are beset by supertorms, hurricanes or tsunamis, or a world in which even clean air has become luxury. I believe then humanity would no longer exist. Hence, technology itself has no agency, it is the choice people make about it that shapes the world , as the 2020s dawn , developing economy and technology is the cure to save the dying nature. Only humans live with nature in a harmonious way, can our life be better .

From what has been discussed above, we can draw a conclusion that we should treat nature and human development as a whole, they influence each other. It is true that development brings damage to the environment, but natural disasters are inevitable , we can’t blame the development. Change a mind, advanced technology helps us face these disasters, its advantages outweigh disadvantages.
