Some people believe that smaller colleges and universities provide students with a better educational experience. Other people believe that larger colleges and universities provide a better educational experience. Which view do you agree with and why? Use specific reasons and examples to support you

Nowadays, many people are arguing the issue about whether should student study in a larger university or a smaller one. Although they have their own advantage for both choise,  I prefer a student study in a smaller university or college and the reasons are as following.

Firstly, for a small university, the proportion between the students and teachers could be low. It means that the number of students which a teacher took charge of will much less than the amount from a larger university, thus the more individual attention from professor  can be provided to each students. Whatever course or research, professors can give each students individual guidance, that’s really deserve a student choosing a small university.

Secondly, studying in a smaller university can get rid of peer preasure, thus concentrating more in individual research or study. Comparing with learning in large college, a small university will have less competition and students may avoid the ranking with others, that means each student can be free to have their own pace of study instead of disturbing by others. That is a important reason for choosing a small university.

Lastly, smaller university can provide students more campus sources, like gym, playground, library, restaurant and so on. For example, when you go to the library, you can read or lend books whatever you want, instead of worrying about whether it’s on loan like the situation you may face in a large university within many students. That’s another reason why students should choose a smaller one.
