People have different views about what’s the major environmental problem.While the loss of biodiversity is the essential one, I agree with those who believe that there are other more significant issues.

Admittedly, the issue of the natural world should be seen as fundamental issue for countries. to. Human activities have strong impacts not only on ourselves, but on the planet and other species. We have destroyed wildlife’s habitats and cut down enormous areas of rainforests, which leads to extinction of many species of animals and Furthermore, the reduction of biodiversity will pose a threat to the balance of ecosystem, which makes a huge difference to human beings.

However, I would argue that various other problems are more important than the loss of species. Granted, the most fundamental green issue today is pollution. In many cities in China, such as Beijing, there is serious air pollution and a layer of smog hanging over the cities, which heavily do harm to people’s health. Another serious pollution is water pollution, which caused by factories’ dumping chemicals in to rivers illegally. Water is so crucial that people can’t lead a normal and healthy life, neither can countries develop without water.

Additionally, energy is also an extremely important issue. Not all the experts agree, but multitudes of estimators have proclaimed that the fossil fuels will be exhausted in less than 50 years. The deficiency of natural resources like gases, oil and coal leads to the lack of electricity.

In contrast to biodiversity which is a long-term issue, pollution and energy is more pressing and urgent. To conclude, the extinction of species is obviously a key problem related to environment, but pollution and energy are more significant.
