Successful people try new things and take risks rather than only doing what they know how to do well.

People tend to get accustomed to their comfort zone, especially when they are proficient in some specific area. However, it is crystal clear that successful people have to try new things and take risks if they are seeking further development.

Few would deny that temporary success can be easily forgotten in the era of information explosion. If one is immersed in the past glory and unwilling to step out of the comfort zone, he may lack the very quality to become somebody. Take the famous singer, Rihanna for example. In the past, people labelled her just as a singer, which gave her no edge as a so-called successful person. But she stepped out of her comfort zone firmly and tried new things in the makeup area. Obviously, it was a wise choice because now she has built her own brand and become much more than a singer. Thus, it seems perfectly plausible that moving on from the past success can render one a bigger achievement.

Besides, it is not uncommon for successful people to lose momentum when they have to repeat the same work. In this case, taking some risks can add much flavor to the dull life. After all, the ultimate aim of living is to lead a colorful life. But how could it be possible when people are chained to the soul-destroying labor? If so, chances are great that people get addicted to drugs or alcohol to escape from the grind of life. Therefore, it is no exaggeration to say that truly successful people have the courage to look for opportunities in a new environment.

Admittedly, this bold try may not reap as expected. To make matters worse, people are likely to lose what they have achieved. However, taking risks doesn’t mean making a random choice. It results from a profound understanding of themselves and a thorough insight into the current situation.

In conclusion, taking risks holds the key to opportunities and to living out dreams. After all, chances are given to those who are willing to try new things.

    Score: Ungraded

    Issues:

    1. About 30% of the sentences are passive. Convert some of them into their active counterparts.
    2. Lots of grammatical/logical issues.

I will send you screenshots to illustrate specific problems/errors.
