The charts below show the average percentages in typical meals of three types of nutrients, all of which may be unhealthy if eaten too much. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The three charts illustrate three nutrients that may be harmful if eaten too much in the regular meals consumed in the USA, which are sodium, saturated fat and added sugar. Overall, more sodium and saturated fat are consumed in dinner and more added sugar is consumed in snacks.

According to the first pie chart of sodium, 14% of it is consumed in both breakfast and snacks, 29% is consumed in lunch and 43% is consumed in dinner. Then next is the pie chart of saturated fat, 16% is consumed in breakfast, 26% is consumed in lunch, 37% is consumed in dinner and 21% is consumed in snacks. And finally comes the pie chart of added sugar, 16% is consumed in breakfast, 19% is consumed in lunch, 23% is consumed in dinner and 42% is consumed in snacks. It is obvious that the consumption of sodium is the biggest in dinner, the consumption of added sugar is the biggest in snacks while people in America consumed little three nutrients during breakfast time than other meals.

In conclusion, the diagrams show that American people eat too much food contained unhealthy nutrient in dinner and snacks.

    1. About 70% of the sentences exceed 20 words. Shorten/split them.
    2. About 85% of the sentences are passive. Convert some of them into their active counterparts.
