The charts demonstrate how three types of nutrients, sodium, added sugar and saturated fat distribute in four typical meals in USA.

It is clear to see that dinner is responsible for consumption of the most sodium and saturated fat, while people consume most added sugar from snacks. Comparing with other meals, breakfast sees the most balance diet structure.

Most sodium and saturated fat, at 43% and 37% respectively, contribute themselves to dinner. Similarly, nearly one third of these two nutrients is consumed during lunch, with sodium at the percentage of 29% and saturated fat at 26%. Breakfast, on the other hand, accounts for far less proportion of all three nutrients, with merely 16% of sugar and fat and 14% of sodium.

Snacks helps people absorb 42% of the added sugar that they daily require, with dinner(23%) following the next and lunch (19%) claiming the third. Breakfast, as mentioned above, consumes the least added sugar.
