    The first chart below shows how energy is used in an average Australian household. The second chart shows the greenhouse gas emissions which result from this energy use. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

    The charts show the structure of the energy consumption in Australian household in average, and the amount of greenhouse gas emissions relieved due to the different usage of the energy.

    In the first chart, which represents the household energy use in Australia, it is heating (42%) that ranks first, following by water heating, which accounts for 30% of the whole use. Energy wasted on other appliances makes up 15% of the total supply, which is almost one second of that in heating water, though the figure is still twofold as much as it of refrigeration. Finally, cooling and lighting, 2% and 4% respectively, can be regarded as consuming the least amount of energy.

    In the second chart that shows the greenhouse gas emissions coming from the energy use, water heating and other appliances present a similar pattern of makeup, accounting for 32% and 28%, while heating and refrigeration are almost identical in the volume of the greenhouse gas as well, with a respective proportion of 15% and 14%. Because of the less energy they consume, cooling (3%) and lightning (8%) also boast much less greenhouse gas emissions.
