“Over time, the costs of processing go down because as organizations learn how to do things better, they become more efficient. In color film processing, for example, the cost of a 3-by-5-inche print fell from 50 cents for five-day service in 1970 to 20 cents for one-day service in 1984. The same principle applies to the processing of food. And since Olympic Foods will soon celebrate its twenty-fifth birthday, we can expect that out lang experience will enable us to minimize cost and thus maximize profits.”

This paragraph give a statement with the reason of decending cost in processing, followed by a detailed example with data. Then this passage applies the same causation to other examples to support the statement further.
Firstly, there is some misunderstanding about the reason and the fact. the fact of increasing efficiency described in the first sentence could also be intrigued by other reasons, other than the higher quallity. For example, the organizations could also updated the haredware or the current statues of manufacturer. Also, the lower cost of processing could also be the result of other factors, such as the new invent which enables a much lower cost of raw materials or the change of legislation which encourge factories with lower tax.
Secondly, the two examples, about the color film processing and the food processing respectively, are not a strong and direct evident to support the former argument. The unit used in the first example are not the same, using the 50cent/5-days and 20cent/day, which leads to a oppositing result that the price was higher in 1984. In the last sentences where Olympic Foods are listed as example, there are no actual data or fact supporting the former statement, other than merely cited the words of others. There are no cited speaker or writer about this “expectation”, which means there could be some inaccuracy about the citement, meaning that the speaker or the writer could accidentally be the one who already support the argument and also too subjective to draw the final conclusion of “minimize costs and maximaze profits”.
