The line chart shows some information about global water use by sector from 1900 to 2000.All sectors witnessed a significant rise in the 100-year period and the boosting speed of the agricultural use was the most swift of all the sectors.To be more specific,the water use in the agricultural sector went up with less than 1000 km³in 2000.In the contrast, the amount of water use in the other sectors–industrail and domestic used to below 1000 km³ with nearly 0 km³ in 1900.

The table reveals the consumption of water in Brazil and Congo which are both in the Africa in the year of 2000.The water consumption in Brazil(359m^3) with a population of 176 million was 40 times more than that in Congo,which only had 5.2 million, with 8 m^3 in 2000.The explanation of the difference of the amount of water consumption per person between two countries seems to be that the area of irrigated land in Brazil (26500km^2) was 265 times more than that in the Congo (100km^2).
