IELTS Task 1: The graph below shows the proportion of the population aged 65 and over between 1940 and 2040 in three different countries. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main feature and make comparisons where relevant. You should write at least 150 words.

From the chart we can get the following from 1940 to 1980 , USA saw an increase in the aging problem , but there was small increase in that of  Sweden and Japan . However , Sweden became the highest index country between 2000 to 2020 , whereas there was 5% rise in that of the whole country . Japan will be see an obvious straight climb in the aging problem after 2040 .

In conclusion , Japan witnesses another sharp rise in the aging problem in 2040 .  But generally speaking , the aging problem of the 3 countries is not as serious as that in the future . Aging is a global problem , there are some advice for this , such as : to improve the social pension environment  , to improve the quality of life of the elderly . We can also improve the basis of point pensions to make the material needs of the elderly life better , and we can encourage young couples to have more babies in order to relieves the problem of labor shortage caused by aging .
