The line chart gives data on the sales of three kinds of books from 2002 to 2006 in a country. Generally, the retail of all kinds of books except grown-up fiction had an upward trend throughout this period.
In 2002, the sales of underaged and educational books increased sharply from close to 35 and exactly 25 million dollars to above 40 and around 30 million dollars by 2003 respectively. However, the figure for adults’ friction plunged to approximately 37 million dollars the following year.
From 2003 onwards, the number of books sold in the education field was in gradual decline over the next two years. It soared to the highest point at about 33 million dollars at the end of the period. By contrast, the income through adults’ fiction dipped and bottomed out at just 30 million dollars in 2006, with a slight growth over the half of the period. Moreover, the popularity of book among kids kept going up, reaching the peak of marginally over 55 million dollars of the state’s earning by the end of 2006.
