Many people say internet is the core of modernized life because it contacts each other in a much easier than telephone, mail and any other way of communication. In my point of view, the government should spend more money in making the internet better to access than in public transportation. The Internet has the magic to minimize the distance between people but transportation can hardly do it.

The internet accessible to more people invested by government equip more people with knowledge. In today’s internet, Coursera and many other webs makes online-learning a easy thing. People do not need to pay a single bill can obtain a wide range of classes taught by famous campus professors. The internet makes the cost of learning decreased a lot. And the knowledge they’ve learnt can add up to a great amount which is enough to change many current situations that some people can not afford to take universities. During the pandemic, a professor John Hamilton with his team of Duke University had done a research about in what way people choose to learn while they were isolated, the respondents spreading in 50 main cities in the United States. And the results shows that about 60% of people choose to learn online through live class or recorded class. The best transportation can not work during this very time, but on the contrary, internet served as people’s another teacher has so many benefits for the educational process.

Spending money to make the internet more accessible save people more time in different aspects. Some people might think better transportation can save some people’s time especially for those commuting daily for long times. But think about what more access to internet can bring people, many problems do not need to be face to face to handle, some questions can easily be solved using Google.
