whether people should continue to read the news

News makes a huge difference to our daily life. People are having different opinions about whether it is beneficial for people to read news. I, however, advocate reading news appeals to me.

Reasons for my opinion, one of which is that this practice makes  it easier for students to improve academic performance. To be more specific, during the discussion in classes, since students receiving news have opportunity to acquire a wide range of knowledge in terms of historic events, environmental protection strategies and national policies, they can use these information to enrich their opinions and give birth to better ideas. After class, when students complete homework, such as, paper and projects, this choice enables students to draw on the knowledge they learn in news to complete such tasks. Under such condition, this practice tend to improve paper or projects technicality, which offers possibility for students to get a great score from professors.

Another reason is that constantly watching news offers possibility for people to find proper job in the future. Or rather, by reading news, people have chance to learn about the toward of current social development. In the other words, what kind of jobs require a lot of demand for what type of employees, for example, a student who is familiar with accounting will be required by jobs about marketing and human resource management. Under such circumstances, this practice enables people to have a clearer concept of which majors should they to study. Because some news usually report various companies, this way makes it easier for people to compare different companies and to make a decision. For instance, which company provide people with best job environment, which company offers decent salaries, and which firm focus on people’s ability to organize and plan.

It is true that lack of strict regulation is responsible for fabricated news, which contribute to a variety of damages to societies and even individuals. However, this is only part of story, In fact, Under such circumstance, this choice gives chance for people to improve ability to think independently and distinguish between right and wrong.
