In the industry, workers are usually divided into several groups based on the type of task they do. However, in a plant’s survey, it is showed that workers are more likely to try different kinds of work in a single day than just do similar jobs every day. As someone who used to work in the plant, I think the reasons are incorporated as follows.

Firstly, workers are willing to handle multiple types of tasks, because from that they would gain multiple operation skills and become more competitive in job market. Nowadays, people had better have multiple skill and knowledge so that they would have much more job opportunities in this fierce job market. There is a great number of people equipped with advanced knowledge and practical experience wanting to compete with you in a single position. How could you not improve yourself to exhibit a more advantageous image in PR’s mind?

Additionally, doing similar stuff would make workers bored, due to that they may show an exhausting condition both physically and mentally, that would even injury themselves. Imagine that, when you do your schoolwork all day long, don’t you feel tired and without any energy? Your sight is unclear, hands are numb, the whole body becomes extremely sour and painful, your awareness is out of mind. Under this exhausting situation, you almost lose control of yourself, not to mention the part you are processing. The results of your work could be a complete disaster when you do not know what you are doing right now. To make the matter worse, workers using heavy and complex equipment in their process may even hurt themselves when they are in an unconscious physical condition, which could cause time and money to pay for the wrong operation.
