As our society develops, there are many varieties of movies and programs for people to relax during their free time. This also leads to a general debate nowadays about the negative effects that movies and television may have on young people, especially affects their behavior. As for me, I am in favor of the opinion that movies and television have more positive effects on young people.

First, it must be noted that most of the classic movies and television have correct values. For example, the Forrest gump and the Shawshank Redemption. These movies can teach young people how to be a good man and how to chase their dream, which can’t be taught from classes. Young people will be influenced by these good movies and develop their own personalities. Take me as an example, when I finished watching the Forrest Gump, I was very impressed by the spirit of Forrest Gump. And I learned to put this spirit into my life, which helped me have a better way to solve many problems in my life. Besides, the public is more willing to watch movies and television with the correct values, which means there will be no market for movies and television with incorrect values.

Furthermore, movies and television with incorrect values can help parents to educate their children. When children want to imitate some bad behavior from movies or television, their parents have the responsibility to stop them and told them what the correct behavior is. What’s more, some characters with incorrect values will have a bad ending in many movies and television. These can also serve as examples for parents to teach their children to have correct values.

All in all, there are many kinds of movies and television, although some of them may have a bad influence on young people, there are still many good movies and television which have positive effects. Parents should also take more responsibility for their children’s behavior. So, I think movies and television still have positive effects on young people.

Now in our society, we can see that many university professors are paid far less than other equally educated people in society. In my opinion,  universities are supposed to spend more money to improve the quality of teaching. So, it is necessary to spend more money on salaries for professors.

Most importantly, professors need to focus not only on their research, but also in the classroom. Their workload means they should have a high income. But in universities, professors will receive some rewards when they have made achievements in their research. So many professors just focus on their research and spend little time with his/her students. This may cause a result in a lower quality of teaching in the classroom. As we all know, university education is very important for the improvement of society. Universities are places to train high-level talents, if the quality of university education declines, it will affect the development of society.

Furthermore, if university professors receive a low salary, talented young people may turn to other careers which have higher salaries. Many young people have just graduated from college may choose the careers with higher salaries to improve their quality of their life. If they become a professor, they will more tired and have a lower salary. Only a few  young people really want to choose this career. One of my best friends wanted to be a professor, but when he knew the salary of professors, he quickly abandoned his dream and choose another job with higher income after his graduation. This will reduce the number of professors in universities, and there will be more work for professors to do. This may also lead to a decline in the quality of teaching.

In my opinion, education is one of the most important things to our society. Spending more money on the professors’ salaries is a way to maintain and even improve the quality of education in university.
