In the modern age, parents are sometimes too busy to spend time with their children, in which case how to utilize the time becomes an important topic. It is hard to deny that schoolwork is a key point for children, and such a fact leads impressionable people to generate the opinion that parents should study with children in that valuable time. However, as far as family affection, efficiency and happiness are concerned, I do think the best use of that time is to have fun playing games or sports.

First, playing games or sports together can easily improve family affection. In consideration that parents have little time to spend with their children, their affection may not be as strong as those parents who often take care of their children. And it is hard to improve family ties by doing schoolwork together. This is because not every child likes studying, sometimes this can backfire. However, most children like playing games or sports, at least they have one or two hobbies. By doing the things their love together, parents can better impress their children.

Additionally, children can earn happiness while playing games and sports. Today’s children have a lot of schoolwork to do, so without playing, their mental health may become worse. Since it is necessary for children to play games or sports, why parents don’t play them with their children? And some sports may dangerous for children, parents not only play them with children, but also protect their children.

Admittedly, doing schoolwork is the key point for children. However, doing the work together may lower their efficiency. As everyone knows, one can more easily focus on work when there aren’t any other people by side. Parents may think they are doing work with their children, however, children may think parents are supervising them. Then they will feel under pressure and unhappy, which is not conducive to family relations and learning efficiency.

In conclusion, I do think parents should spend that valuable time playing games or sports with their children.
