Nowadays, increasing amount of people tend to work for themselves instead of being a commuter. Free atmosphere and flexible working styles stimulate they to make this choice. However, the trend may cause some disadvantages.

On the one hand, I understand why some people choose to work as freelancers. Firstly, governments need to create jobs by motivating young adults to start a business. For example, banks usually reduce financial burdens on small companies by providing free-interest loans. Also, employment department can organize vocational training to give instructions to young managers. In this case, they are able to improve problem-solving skills and deal with difficulties more proficiently. Furthermore, people who work from home can spare more commuting time to enjoy their lives. Noticeably, compared with corporative staffs, they can balance work and family commitment better and obtain more job satisfaction.

However, the tendency may bring some realistic problems. In the first place, as for salary, a wide range of self-employed people often have no enough incomes to support themselves. To save operating cost, they usually take a great variety of measures to meet ends meet. It means that they are likely to suffer from financial issues even bankruptcy. If people work for companies, they will enjoy satisfactory welfares and a quality life. Also, people may be affected by noise due to children’s playing. Conversely, the atmosphere in enterprises may make people focus on jobs and improve working efficiency.

In conclusion, while self-employment do increases employment rate, we cannot neglect its negative impacts.

Nowadays, increasing amount of people prefer to work for themselves rather than be employed by enterprises. The issue can be explained by several reasons and it may bring some disadvantages.

On the one hand, I understand why some people choose to work as freelancers. Firstly, governments tend to motivate young adults to start a business or take more flexible means to get jobs. For example, tax administrations and banks usually reduce financial burdens on small companies by imposing little tax and providing loans. Secondly, people who work from home avoid commuting to workplaces, so they can have more leisure time to enjoy their lives. In this case, they would get a balance between lives and work and obtain job satisfaction. Finally, many freelancers would get more practical training and improve problem-solving skills because they have to deal with more difficulties by themselves.

On the other hand, it is noticeable that we cannot ignore realistic problems caused by self-employment. In the first place, as for salary, a wide range of self-employed people would often rely on unsteady incomes to support themselves. It means that they are likely to take cost reduction measures to meet ends meet and even suffer from risks of bankruptcy. If people work for companies, they will obtain satisfactory welfares and live comfortably. Also, compared with the working environment where being relaxed for freelancers at home, the atmosphere in enterprises may make people focus on jobs and get a sense of belonging.

In conclusion, while self-employment plays an important role in society, we should be cautious with its negative impacts.
