Live in a big city or a small town

People have different views about living in a big city or a small town. While living in a small town has a lot of advantages, I believe people are more eager to live in a big city especially for some youngsters.

On the one hand, people living in a small town enjoy a more relaxing and healthy life than those who live in a big city. Firstly, there is less traffic in small towns so that the air won’t be polluted a lot by exhaust emissions. Also, with a less developed industry, water resource can keep cleaner. Fresh air, as well as clean water can lead a healthier life. Finally, the countryside is a desirable place for people living in big cities to relax. Wandering in a small road with a stretching field is good way to release stress.

However, cities also can be beneficial in a variety of ways. To begin with, the excellent transportation networks in cities bring people lots of convenience. For example, city inhabitants don’t have to waste time in waiting for the bus and they can go every corner of the city just by public transportation. This kind of developed transportation system also discourage some private car owners from driving their cars when going out. Such behavior can be helpful for the environment. Additionally, parents, whether living in big cities or small towns, wish to send their children to metropolis due to the remarkable education systems. Teenagers who have received a good education tend to be more competitive in the job market. Finally, for young people who expect to gain a more promising job, it is wiser to choose to live in big cities. Cities are always seen as places of opportunities.

College graduates who want to start their own business or develop their careers are more likely to stay in cities.

In conclusion, different people have different options towards  this issue. However, from a personal perspective, people will benefit more if they choose to live in cities.
