The statement does not accurately describe the process of acquiring knowledge. Learning more knowledge does make things more complex and mysterious, in modern science remains numerous complicated and seemly inextricable problems. Solving them comes with new knowledge, and the knowledge always leads us to the boundary of our understanding of the world; the unclear part stays mysterious until we solve them. Nevertheless, the fact that knowledge exists in videos and books proves that things are comprehensible, even they necessarily make things more comprehensible.

First, knowledge is complicated. As we are solving tough challenges, new knowledge is born. Math is the grail of human intellect. In 2000 the Clay Mathematics Institute (CMI) announced its seven Millennium Prize Problems. It took years to figure out any of them. Nevertheless, only two years later, Russian mathematician Grigori Peremlan posted a solution to one of the geometric problems—solved the conundrum by proof in three papers. More detailed new knowledge emerged to solve the problem.

Second, mysteriousness happens when we reach the edge of human knowledge. Technology and knowledge today explain many theories but not every one of them. As artificial intelligence becomes even more brilliant, will it have its mind and consciousness to hurt humankind? Will animal organs run well on the human body so that more lives can live longer? Will the earth explode someday, and humankind have to move to Mars? In every sector, scientists are working hard to solve the mystery part. In the latest published article from New York University, a genetically modified pig’s kidney connected with a human volunteer and the kidney works out well for 54 hours without rejection of the person’s immune system. The experiment was a breakthrough in this field. To sum up, mysteriousness seems like the byproduct of human exploration.

Thirdly, acquiring knowledge is the process of understanding the world, and the process is the evidence that the world can be comprehended. Knowledge has varied forms: In papers, which researchers could read and use to design or solve problems. In minds, mentors can use their own experience to guide young people out of a stack of working problems. Also, as new diseases come out of the world out of nowhere, such as the COVID-19, modern medical scientists quickly researched it. Then we have the vaccine to protect us better, and professionals can solve the mysterious disease. Although they have not solved all the puzzles yet, given enough time, people will discover and understand more.

Thirdly, acquiring knowledge is the process to understand the world, and the process is the evidence that the world can be comprehended. When people are more informed, the understand things better. Knowledge has varied forms: knowledge is written in papers, which researchers could read and use to design or solve their own problems. The knowledge lies in mentor’s experience, as in a company a mentor can use his own experience to guide young people out of a stack of working problems. Also, As new diseases coming out of the world out of nowhere, such as the COVID-19, modern medical scientists quickly researched it and then we have the vaccine to better protect us, the mysterious disease can be solved by professionals. Although they have not solve all the puzzles yet, given enough time, more will be discovered and understand by people.

As I have discussed, knowledge itself is complicated and mysterious, learning and solving problems make it even more so. But I cannot agree with the statement saying that learning new knowledge make things more harder to understand, the fact is the opposite.
