When the economy does well, job options are abound. During the current covid-19 pandemic, however, unemployment remains unprecedentedly low in many parts of the world. As such, I argue that people should prioritize job satisfaction during good economic times but emphasize occupational security when the economy struggles.

On the one hand, job security ensures the standard of one’s life and help people build good family relationship. In fact, stable salaries not only allow people to raise their families but also to live comfortably.

Additionally, a steady career helps one to build a stronger domestic bond. With a solid job, people can use their income to meet children’s material demands， thereby avoiding domestic conflicts resulted from financial hardship. More importantly, with a steady job, parents can pay tuition fees for their children so children can acquire premium education.

On the other hand, someone argue that job satisfaction surpasses career security. Their argument erects on the fact that many people are interested in various career. These well-motivated employees intend to gain a sense of success from a job. For example, some people may seek opportunities to work in large companies, where can tap into their potential and achieve their ambitions easily .

In my opinion, I agree that people should find a steady job. This is because career advancement remains unattainable for most people during the post-pandemic period. In other words, pursuing job satisfaction always means confronting competition among other staff. As a result, people may have to work under pressure and sacrifice their family life because of work commitment. To sum up, it is important for people to find a steady employment as they can have a good quality of life .

People have different opinions on whether to close zoos. Some people think zoos are brutish, although others believe zoos can have a positive effect on protecting animals.

On the one hand, caging animals may pose a threat to reserve their instincts. More specifically, long-time captivity may make animals lose their natural behaviors. This is because animals do not need to seek food by themselves . For example, some predators like tigers will lose their hunting nature when their freedom is restricted. As a result, people cannot reintroduce these animals to their original habitats.

On the other hand, some people argue that zoos can improve biodiversity and prolong animal life. As for the former, people can reserve rare animals at zoos. More importantly, scientists are able to observe animal behaviors at close range. After doing intensive studies, scientists can adopt safe and advanced technology to protect rare animals. For instance, Chinese researchers made use of genetic engineering technologies for panda protection. If pandas may be on the verge of extinction, researchers can clone pandas to increase their number. Apart from this, animals in captivity may have a longer life expectancy as they may receive medical treatment in time.

In my opinion, zoos are cruel because some  animals may be treated in a brutish way. Many zoos organize circuses and make animals perform in the public. Driven by high profit, trainers are likely to force animals to complete funny motions. If animals disobey their orders, trainers will impose animals to harsh penalties. Treated in a cruel way, animals may suffer from severe trauma. These mental injuries lead to an adverse impact on animals’ well-being. In other words, the long life expectancy will make no sense if animals live a miserable life.

To sum up, animals have rights to live a normal life, so it is advisable for us to close all zoos.
