“Teachers affect eternity” is an old saying. But it’s nonetheless possibly true that teachers play an indispensable role in students’ whole life. As a result of their profound influence, it is better not to allow teachers to make their social or political views known to students.

First, no one can guarantee that the subtle effect exerted on students is conducive. Since teachers are humans, their points of view can also be unconvincing or even biased. But unlike a strange we meet on the road, students spend most of their time with their teachers. To make matters worse, their internal code of conduct hasn’t formed. As such, students try to imitate their teachers, which could be more of a problem. For example, recently a teacher asked her students to support Xiao Zhan, an actor in China. This video sparked heated discussion since Xiao Zhan had a bad reputation for some reason. The teacher was to blame for misleading naive students and got dismissed. Therefore, teachers shouldn’t use the class as a platform to impose their views on students.

Besides, teachers have an obligation to impart knowledge in class instead of their political or social beliefs. The time for class is limited, in which case teachers have to reduce time for learning. After all, teachers can only lead students from a beginner to a master in relation to knowledge. Students have to mold themselves into independent thinkers. Thus, if teachers promote their biased opinions in class, the school is supposed to remind them to stick to the curriculum.

Granted, it’s a good choice to learn from another perspective, especially with well-informed people. Students can equip themselves with up-to-date information in the process of sharing ideas. This in turn expands horizons. However, how to determine the line between sharing opinions and imposing belief requires more consideration.

In conclusion, considering potential disadvantages, teachers should stay out of the political or social discussion in the classroom.

People tend to get accustomed to their comfort zone, especially when they are proficient in some specific area. However, it is crystal clear that successful people have to try new things and take risks if they want to seek further development.

Few would deny that temporary success can’t last in the era of information explosion. If one is immersed in the past glory and unwilling to step out of the comfort zone, he may lack the very quality to become somebody. Take the famous singer, Rihanna, for example. In the past, people labeled her just as a singer. But she stepped out of her comfort zone firmly and tried new things in the makeup area. It was a wise choice because now she has built her own brand and become much more than a singer. Thus, it seems perfectly plausible that moving on from past success can render one a bigger achievement.

Besides, it is not uncommon for successful people to lose momentum when they have to repeat the same work. In this case, taking some risks can add much flavor to a dull life. After all, the ultimate aim of living is to lead a colorful life. But how could it be possible when people are chained to the soul-destroying labor? If so, chances are great that people get addicted to drugs or alcohol to escape from the grind of life. Therefore, it is no exaggeration to say that a truly successful person is willing to look for opportunities in a new environment.

Admittedly, this bold try may not reap as expected. Instead, people are likely to lose what they have achieved. However, taking risks doesn’t mean making a random choice. It results from a profound understanding of themselves and a thorough insight into the current situation.

In conclusion, taking risks holds the key to opportunities and to living out dreams. After all, chances favor those who are willing to try new things.

Various news media have made their way into every corner of life. Sometimes people do feel overwhelmed by many different news sources. However, these sources are the most effective way to be well-informed in modern society.

To begin with, not all the news sources agree with the fact. It is not uncommon that some sources exaggerate a certain side of the news and sometimes even distort the truth. To make matters worse, they might use a catching headline that has nothing to do with the content in the news. Since fake news prevents people from becoming well-informed, they have to look for the authentic one to determine the reality. Suppose a person sees a piece of news from the entertaining part of news, it is highly possible to have covered the truth. But if setting considerable store by getting information from diverse sources, people are less likely to fall for fake news.

Besides, it reduces the chance to look at a phenomenon from a biased perspective. In fact, failing to express news in an objective tone often misleads readers to perceive events in the wrong way. For example, opinions on Adolf Hitler, one of the guiltiest persons in World War II, vary from person to person. Well-informed people think of him as a talented speechmaker and a gifted battle commander. By contrast, those who learn from history books can only have a superficial understanding of his tyranny, let alone his merits. Thus, it seems plausible that people will show balanced perceptions with multiple news sources.

In conclusion, it is indeed a hard thing to be well-informed. After all, it takes a long time to search for the news sources and evaluate them. But if people can get accustomed to conquering this tricky job, they will finally become intelligent and well-informed.
