Nowadays, with technology overgrows, we have more access to movies and television. Someone holds the perspective that this change will affect young people in a negative way. However, I vote against this opinion and steadily stand in the aspect that movies and television influence the young more in a positive way.

Because movies and television have characters and plots, film stars relatively arise. Sometimes we favor people that actors or actresses act because of the similar experience expressed by this image. And sometimes we fan the fantastic qualities that actors and actresses themselves own. All of us can achieve some mental relief from either a virtual character or an attractive star. If guided correctly, we ourselves can then become a better one slowly. That’s how movies and television affect young people positively.

Besides the image expressed in movies or television, the plots in them can both have positive effects on young people. Recently, there is a new movie called ‘Better Days’, which has raised a large scale of attention to campus violence. Not only the characters but also the story touched so many people in our society, including young people. Most of us have schoolmates, so we don’t know whether this violence would happen around us or exactly on us. As a periodic result, we call on society to take actions to prevent it. Young people in this friendly atmosphere will have a tendency to treat others with sincere hearts. In summary, these movies and television guide young people positively.

As a whole, a film is just a film. It can’t teach one person anything. The most important point is not movies or television themselves, but the guidance to the young from people around them. That’s the true impact.
