It is noticeable that the number of senior citizens in many countries is gradually growing. The older people could contribute to society, but the demographic change can bring about some problems.

The increasing of aging population causes heavy budget burden on government. It is widely known that most diseases and health problems occur in old age. As senior citizens growing, it is extremely necessary for governments to expand the existing medical system in order to meet the increasing medical demand. Moreover, pensions that aging people live on may also become a dramatic expenditure for government. Thus there may be an intractable financial problem for the government in an aging society.

The shortage of labor is another problem. Generally, the old are not as good at learning as the young. That is why most high-tech companies want younger employees. However, If the proportion of the senior workers keeps rising, there will be relatively fewer young workers. it might lead to a decrease in work efficiency, which will affect economic development.

To some extent, the old could help the young to develop faster. The senior workers have accumulated rich experience and professional knowledge in long-term work. They could impart their skills to the young generation as consultants. In this way, young people may avoid mistakes, develop faster and bring benefits to all aspects of society.

In conclusion, the aging society would slow down the economy and put great pressure on the government. It has a considerable negative impact on society, although senior citizens could still contribute to society in some ways. So in my opinion, the aging problem had better be solved as soon as possible.

It is noticeable that the number of senior citizens in many countries is gradually growing. They could contribute to society, but in my opinion, the demographic change can bring about some problems.

One of the problems caused by aging is that health care costs and tax will increase. It is widely known that most diseases and health problems occur in old age. The increasing number of older populations need more medical facilities to ensure their health, so the government has to invest more money in it. As a result, related taxes will rise, and the burden on taxpayers will also increase.

The shortage of labor is another problem, which has negative impact on the economy. Generally, people’s ability to learn new things will decline with aging. Nevertheless, if there are plenty of senior workers in the company, the learning time will be longer because of rapid updating technology. That is why most high-tech companies want younger employees. In Silicon Valley, for instance, the average age of workers is approximately thirty years old.

To some extent, the old could help the young to develop themselves. The senior workers have accumulated rich experience and professional knowledge in long-term work. They could impart their skills to the young generation as consultants. In this way, young people may avoid mistakes, develop faster and bring benefits to all aspects of society.

In conclusion, the aging society has put a strain on health care and made the workforce less productive. It has a considerable negative impact on society, although senior citizens could still contribute to society in some ways.

Using web-based technology, people can search for pictures of historical objects and artworks on their computers. This way is so convenient that some think there will be no need for public museums and art galleries. In my opinion, I do not subscribe to this point of view. By the end of essay, I will have demonstrated servel reasons.

The images in the computers never replace the authentic artifacts and artworks. Because it is more impressive for people to feast their eyes on the exhibits. Furthermore, under the design of the staff, every exhibition is connected. It seems to provide the visitors with a sense of fluency and deepen their understanding. By contrast, no matter how wonderful the pictures on the computers, they are just pictures that have no connection with each other. After discussing feelings, it is important to note function.

Nor are computers likely to replace museums and galleries in preserving artifacts and artworks. They can only save data, but museums and galleries have spaces and human resources to store and maintain the exhibits. The historical relics could be appreciated and further researched to understand their values and significance. For instance, archaeologists could infer the historical development by detecting elements from them.

To some extent, computers do make seeing artworks more comfortable. It is a great way for some people who temporally have no time or money to enjoy the exhibition. Nevertheless, if a family wanted to see the exhibition, they would not see some pictures in front of the computer.

To summarise, I have shown that museums and galleries play an irreplaceable role in many aspects. Although computers can provide convenience, they cannot replace museums and art galleries now.
