Who enjoys their life more, the young or the old? I’d say that young people enjoy their life more than the old ones.
Firstly, young people have more competences to enjoy life. There goes a saying that health is the base of life. No one can deny that young people are equipped with more energy and creativity, which provides them with more opportunities to enjoy life. With a healthy body, young people could play sports required acute body conflict, or travel and discover the world before getting too old. Compared to young people, however, older people have to face many obstacles when enjoying life. For instance, a poor health condition could deter them from traveling. Their lives would become boring and limited to a certain life routine because they miss their best time enjoying their lives.
Secondly, young people are more available to enjoy life. That is to say that young people have more free time to spend and don’t need to worry about their time. The young have few responsibilities for their family, especially before getting married. They can decide their life independently without interruption from others. Just take my best friend; for example, he set up a short trip to the countryside without too much preparation. Instead, after the people get old, they have to spend pretty much time dealing with things from work and family, which may prevent them from enjoying life thoroughly.
However, I can’t say that the old don’t enjoy their life. Some factors help the senior to enjoy their life better. For example, their children and family would company and assist the old, or the older people may have more properties that could support their cost during their leisure time.
In summary, since the young have more energy and time, I believe that the young enjoy their life better.

With the development of society, art and athletics both play a significant role in our life. It is hard to judge which one, the arts or the athletics, is of greater importance. As for me, I believe athletics is worthier to invest.

For one thing, athletics is easier to get started compared to the arts. Learning an athletic skill needs less talent and competence. Through basic training and practice, almost everyone can master an athletics skill without too many difficulties. However, we need more basic skills to finish art work such as the choice of color. It potentially raises the level for people to start an art creation and deter the majority from the beginning of the learning process.

For another, athletic competition can be more competitive, which adds more fun and meaning to the game itself. In other words, athletics enable people to distinguish a better one and a worse one. For instance, it is rational for us to give the first prize to the fastest runner not the slowest one. Instead, telling which oil painting is better is an almost impossible task. Because a painting represents a thought, and there is no good and bad about a thought. Could we say that Monet’s water lily is better than Van Gogh’s sunflower? Absolutely no.

Moreover, funding athletics arouse people’s passion to get involved in physical exercise. More money spent on the athletics means more gyms, swimming pool. These infrastructures can increase the living standard and the happiness level of the residents. The more exercise infrastructures are built, the more possibility for people to exercise and the healthier people would be. People would spend less money to maintain healthy, but more on other fields, stimulating the economy.

From what has been discussed above, we can draw a conclusion that more money should be spent on the athletics.
