It is the fact that nowadays the severe problem facing the environment is global warming. I would argue that it has an adverse impact on the planet. Otherwise, human activities ought to take responsibility for this severe problem.

There are many negative points of global warming. Firstly, it causes the rise of the global temperature with gases such as carbon dioxide trapping heat from the sun. In this way, the situation of melting of the polar ice caps become increasingly severe. Numerous animals living in this area would lose their existing home, even force the problem of extinction. Secondly, global warming ought to take responsibility for bad weather. It dramatically breaks the rule of nature cycle, which can expect more extreme weather conditions such as flooding and drought. Therefore, the industry and economy in human society under this threat suffer.

Broadly speaking, there are three main reasons for this. Firstly, to gain a faster development speed, many factories, especially in developing countries, produce poisonous gases without supervision. Also, people who travel are likely to drive their private cars instead of public transportations in recent years. It means that large amounts of fumes have been exhausted in the air, and there are no actions to tackle them. Finally, deforestation, particularly of rainforests, hinders the transfer process from carbon dioxide to oxygen. Thus global warming become increasingly severe.

In sum, global warming has a negative influence on both human beings and nature. However, human activity is a root reason, and people ought to make efforts to tackle the problem.

It is the fact that a vast number of adverts appear in our daily lives. I would argue that the trend has a negative development for our society, and governments, as well as audiences, should take steps to address this issue.

One of the adverse impacts is commercials will manipulate consumers. First of all, intensive adverts with brand images always use glamorous celebrities to promote products. Hence, people always be encouraged to follow the latest trend by spending more money, which leads to excessive consumption. Secondly, commercials aimed at children will lead to misbehaviors. Because young people lack of critical thinking, they are unable to distinguish between true and false information. Fast foods, for example, exaggerate yummy taste and ignore the risk to body health. Long exposure to this information, children are more likely to copy this misbehavior and be prone [ unparalleled comparison/copy-be prone ](I don’t understand this mark)to health issues like obesity or diabetes.

Facing these negative impacts, we should regulate advertisements to protect consumers. Clearly, governments ought to censor commercials for unhealthy products such as cigarettes and alcohol. This kind of products should display warnings on their packets. However, governments do not have the power to completely control the adverts. This means consumers ought to use their common sense when they go to the shops and ask themselves whether they really need to make that purchase.

In sum, various measures can tackle the problems that are certain to arise as the increasing number of adverts appear in the market.

It is sometimes argued that we ought to demolish old buildings and construct new ones, because vast amounts of money has been spent on the old building’s preservation. I extremely agree with this idea, while some buildings deserve further protection.

One reason is that repairing old buildings is a waste of money. With the development of urbanization, an increasing number of people tend to live around the center of the city, and old houses, especially those near the suburb, gradually become empty. As a result of no people living in the old buildings as well as their little business value, it is economically sensible to knock down these old buildings instead of maintaining them. Otherwise, the worth of taking money to build new ones like entertainment facilities will far outweigh that of refurbishing them.

Another demerit is old buildings will hinder the city’s development. The traffic routes tend to be more complicated with the larger urban space nowadays. Old buildings have existed for a long time, and they are unable to suit modern traffic planning like subway route plans and the new flight route regulations. So, it is no need to retain them, and we should knock down them to facilitate the formation of new traffic system in scale city.

On the other hand, certain types of old buildings need money to be protected on account of their cultural significance. Culture sometimes is a symbol of the spirit of a nation. The preservation of old construction with great art means that people can maintain related historical material for research, which can enrich nations’ culture.

In sum, some old buildings with little value or blocking the process of cities should be replaced by new ones, while certain types of old constructions with historical meaning need further preservation.

It makes sense to rid all old buildings and construct new houses on account of their vast amounts of money spent on the old building’s preservation. I wound argue that some old constructions need to be demolished, while other buildings deserve further protection.

One reason for approval of demolishing old buildings is that repairing them is a waste of money. With the development of urbanization, an increasing number of people tend to live around the center of the city, and old houses especially those near the suburb gradually become empty. As a result of no people living in the old houses as well as their little business value, it is economically sensible to knock down these old buildings instead of maintaining them. Another demerit of spending money repairing old buildings is that it will hinder the city’s development. The traffic routes tend to be more complicated with the larger urban space nowadays. Old buildings have existed for a long time, and they are failed to suit modern traffic planning like subway route plans and the new flight route regulations. So, it is no need to retain them, and we should knock down them, which can largely facilitate the formation of modern traffic in scale city.

On the other hand, certain types of old buildings need money to be protected on account of their cultural significance. Culture sometimes is a symbol of the spirit of a nation. The preservation of old construction with great art means that people can maintain related historical material for research, which can greatly enrich nations’ culture.

In sum, some old buildings with little value or blocking the process of cities should be knocked down to avoid waste of money, while certain types of old constructions with historical meaning need further preservation.
