As a student, each time I entered a new school. I would be in a different atmosphere, so I usually made new friends. From my point of view, it’s more important to get acquainted with strange people than keep in touch with old friends.

First of all, as a student, if I keep reluctant accepting new classmates as friends. It will make me feel lonely, I will find nobody to share fantastic things with nor to spend time together. Because the  atmosphere we’re living in has changed, old friends may be unable to understand our new worries. So we usually can’t get suitable suggestions if we stay unwilling to make new friends. Which is an unhealthy mode for growing up.

Moreover, as time goes by, the cost of maintaining old relationship increases. This happens when we move or have different schedules. It is less likely for old friends to adjust their schedules and waste a lot of time on the road. In contrast, we tend to chat more with newly met people. Not only because of the feeling of freshness, but also because we have similar arragements.

Last but not least, we’re always learning new things from all sources. Other’s opinion is one of sources that we can’t ignore. In order to catch up with the trend, we should absorb different points of view. Always discussing problems with our old friends means we’re listening to the old sayings time and time again. It’s necessary to make new friends and hear new voices, it will help us grow in a more comprehensive way.

All in all, I think it’s more important for us to make new friends than to keep our old friends. For new friends can bring us new thoughts and accompany us. It is also the trend that we will finally grow up and say goodbye to those old things.

Since we were young, we were taught to never give up. But the world is changing fast, doing the exact one thing time and time again won’t bring success. It’s much more important for us to adjust instead of sticking to one goal. So, in my opinion, I disagree with this proverb. Here are my analyses:

To start with, always stay the same means you don’t like to try out new things. Which implies low possibility to find things you really fancy. For instance, most people have changed jobs for many times in their lifetime. The reason behind it can be concluded as their discontent with the original ones, like low salary, minor hope to get promoted or little love for the career. To change the situation, they give up, and find a better one. From those things we can see that the goal we actually have is to live a better life instead of not giving up.  The theory also applies to other areas like marriage or major.

Moreover, if we just do one thing all the time, the result usually turns out to be biased. That’s because all the attention are paid on one thing, so we ignore the importance of communicating and correcting. I think when we’re stuck, it’s better to pause the project and hear suggestions from others. Efficiency and ideas which are keys to a problem are more important than the time span. In order to boarden our mind, intervals and adjustments are required.

Last but not least, we should be able to think out of the box. New thoughts indicates innovations. We can’t guarantee that the ideas we have when we’re young can still work when we’re old. The world is changing fast, which means new problems can be totally different in the way of thinking.  So would we still hold some out-dated thoughts in new era?  The answer is definitely negative.

All in all, comparing to not giving up, it’s more significant for us to think and adjust. We don’t devote ourselves in adapting to the new world in the way of just not giving up.

The 21th century is the century of internet. The improvement of network technology has changed our lives greatly. So if we follow this logic, we would take the development of internet access as the most important thing. However, I hold the view that it’s more crucial to spend money on public transportation. My reasons are as follows.

Firstly, the internet indeed created a marvelous virtual world for us. But that’s not the one we’re living . The movie Ready Player One also discussed this question. With advanced cyber technology and VR devices, people can immerse themselves in the virtual world. Correspondingly, nobody cares about the reality, abolishment and poverty began to grow. In order to solve this problem, the male lead changed this situation by closing the server temporarily and rebuilding basic construction. And that’s exactly what I am going to illustrate. Since public transportation plays an irreplaceable role in our lives. Its’ perfection is one of the best things we can have to enhance our sense of happiness and comfort.

Moreover, as I said before, building basic constructions, such as railways and roads, is a fantastic way to reduce the unemployment rate. With low requirements and high rewards, the number of people willing to engage will be big. So to some extent, improving public transportation can be viewed as a way to solve social problems. And that’s why the basic construction is tightly bounded with policy. However, the internet development is more flexible and less useful in terms of solving social problems because of higher demands.

Last but not least. The  public transportation is more useful if we view the question in the long run. For instance, we can never transport our soldiers by the internet, but railways will do this job. We can’t know how big a city can be, so the traffic system should have high limits.

All in all, although the internet technology is improving fast. We should still pay enough attention to public transportation. As a result, we should take the extra money spent on it for granted.

We’re living in a complex world, everything around us is changing fast all the time. Some people hold the view that instead of learning things irrelevant to us, it’s far better to ignore those. But in my opinion, it still have its own neccessities and reasons.

First and foremost, events seemed unrelated to you were not indeed impossible to affect you. For instance, a brand-new teaching method was put into implementation in a certain school. We could determine these things as completely irrelevant things. However, we could still gain knowledge and experience by knowing the method and consequences. In this way, we would get better understanding of what should we do for the time we wanted to put our thoughts into use.

Seondly, the likelihood of butterfly effect is high. Events happened far away were also possible to affect your real life. The raise in the stock market could make a company wealthy. One certain corporation would influence your life after getting rich. We can catch the signs of changes if we have enough information. In this way, we can maximize the benefit and reduce the loss.

Last but not least, we’re supposed to observe the world in a more detailed way . The blossom of the flowers won’t affect your grades, but you’ll feel more energetic. The beauty of sunset can’t solve your problems, but it allows you to relax yourself. Indeed, many things around you seem unimportant to those significant ones, but you still can gain something you can’t learn from the so-called priorities.

For me, I still hold the view that it’s always useful to observe and learn. The events seem unrelated do not mean they’re unimportant, rationally and emotionally. The world is a complex system, and it holds its own beauty. With great thinking and watching, we’re able to analyze it and discover the fabulous part of it.
